• Age-Appropriate Practices

Yad B' Yad integrates age-appropriate early childhood concepts including constructivist/Reggio Emilia-inspired practices, play-based learning and an appreciation for nature with the use of natural, open-ended materials. With their parent or caregiver by their side, children learn to play both cooperatively and independently.

  • Positive Interactions

Developed and led by Shuly Paret, Yad B' Yad Program Director and a warm, nurturing teacher, all activities encourage positive interactions between parents and children and stimulating discussions between adults. Each day brings a balance of structured and unstructured fun and learning.

Activities include:

  • Discussions of relevant parenting issues led by parenting professionals
  • Celebrations of Jewish holidays and Shabbat geared to young children
  • Music and movement
  • Art and indoor/outdoor play

When your child turns 18 months old, you may choose to keep them in Yad B' Yad or have them join us in our Toddler Program for children 18–23 months (if space is available).
